America under attack?

I found this article after listening to a well known evangelist quoted from it during a message.  I wanted to read the entire article before making any further concluding judgments.  As a devoted Christ follower and a fiscal conservative this article disturbs me to my inmost core.  However, God is in control which gives me peace.  I challenge you to read it and decide for yourself if there is any truth to its claim.  As for me I will be involved this fall in doing everything I can to help bring change that I can believe in.

Sign of the end?

Last week, our President again turned his back on God's people the Israelites.  He told the Israeli President that he could not protect his people from Iran by attacking their nuclear facilities.  He told the Saudi's that he would see to it that there WILL be a Palestinian State in Israel.  Is Obama the facilitator for a false world peace or the instigator of WW3?

Who can you trust?

As a diehard Cleveland sports fan I had my heart ripped out again last week with everyone else in Cleveland.  I was very disappointed in how the great city of Cleveland was humiliated on national tv.  I was very disappointed that we were all held hostage along with the entire NBA for months?  I was very disappointed by how our Cavalier seasons ended the past two years with our supposed star player quit on his team, his employers, his city and his fans.  Lebron James has disappointed us all not because he left because that is his choice, but how he did it.  I was a fan of his and I hope that Dan Gilbert can keep good on his promise to bring a title to the Great City of Cleveland.  As a Cleveland sports fan for 40+ years and having endured the endless disappointments there is one thing I have always seen from our fans - the ability to rebound, to stay strong and supportive of the city and teams they love.  Cleveland this is not the end of the world for us, WE WILL BE BOUNCE BACK yet again and show the country what real loyalty is all about.  I will always be a fan of the Cavs, the Indians and the Browns!

As I contemplated about how one player or players has disappointed me over the years, God reminded me that there is ONE who will NEVER LEAVE ME nor FORSAKE me as humans will.  I was reminded of the ONE who was willing to GIVE HIS LIFE for mine.  Of the one who saves me by his blood.  I know that no matter what I face in this world that I have a friend in my saviour Jesus Christ!  HE is with me and He is for me.  He is my rock, He is my protector, He is my provider, He is my fulfillment!  No one or No thing can fill the void in my life like Jesus can and does.  He is my joy!  He wants to be yours.  Do you know Him?  He died for you too and wants to have a relationship with you.  Ask Him to forgive your sins and tell Him that you accept His gift of eternal life and that you want Him to come into your heart and change you, and that you want to serve Him and make Him the God of your life.  If you do, He will come in and be your saviour and friend as He is mine!

Gateway Community

My name is Randy and I am the lead pastor at Gateway Community Church in Machesney Park, IL. I have been here since February. My vision is to build a church that is relevant to people age 25-40 with kids. I want to be a part of a church that is different and that meets the needs of this age group. Thats why I say, "this ain't your grandma's church." Don't get me wrong, I loved my grandmas but not the way they did church back in the day. I am going to build a church that looks, feels and sounds like this generation. If you belong to this age group, let me know what you would like to see in your ideal church. What would it look like? What would it sound like? What are you looking for in life? Relationships? Purpose? Healing? What about kids if you have any?
